Bear Grylls, Chief Scout recently said “One of my big missions is to encourage people across the UK who have the time, enthusiasm and ability, whatever it is, to put something back into their communities. It’s about a lot of people doing a little. I don’t want to hear any more about kids who can’t join because of a lack of leaders. We’ve got a brilliant, talented nation and I want some of that talent to be used to support young people”Could you be a volunteer manager? Volunteer Group managers is one of the most crucial roles in a Scout Group. Do you have passion and desire to lead? These are some of the skills that you will need:- • Positive attitude • Forward looking • Keen • Enthusiastic • Initiative • Works well with adults and young people We’re also looking for Beaver Leaders, Scout Leaders and Assistant Cub Leaders for all of our scout groups.
